Why analyse your competitors?

Think of it like studying your rivals before a big match. You wouldn't go in blind, right? Analysing your competitors is a key part of the research you need to do to build your brand strategy.

Competitor analysis helps you:

  • Identify your market position: Where do you stand?

  • Uncover new opportunities: What are they doing well?

  • Learn from their mistakes: What could you avoid?

  • Develop unique differentiators: What makes you stand out?

What is SWOT analysis?

To do this, we’re going to do some SWOT analysis, That's Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats, but geared towards your competitors!

Strengths:

  • What are their unique selling points?

  • Where do they shine?

  • What can you learn from their successes?

Weaknesses:

  • Where are they lacking?

  • What gaps can you fill in the market?

  • How can you avoid repeating their mistakes?

Opportunities:

  • What trends are they missing?

  • Are there underserved customer segments?

  • Can you innovate in areas they haven't explored?

Threats:

  • What new competitors are emerging?

  • Are there potential market shifts to be aware of?

  • How can you be prepared for any challenges they present?
